Folk Rock is one of those commercial and credible types of sounds. It’s one of those genres that you don’t have to sacrifice too much musicality for the sake of grabbing people’s attention. Here’s Jeremy Fisher a dude who has such a cool image, with his huge freestanding perm of a hair do, dressing like it’s 1989 and playing his acoustic guitar, 40% of the time with a slide and even with a harmonica around his neck.
Tonight is all about his career, which has been going for a modest decade. He is one of those artists fortunate enough to have released seven studio albums. The set list tonight is made up of a good mix of his favourite songs from his career including a couple of singles, including “Uh-Oh feat. Serena Ryder” from his Lemon Squeeze album, featuring Serena Ryder herself, who in fact provided a worthy support slot this evening, rallying this folk hungry crowd into a state of excitement for our headline act, Jeremy Fisher.
