First saw these guys at this year's EDC in Las Vegas. They put on an lively, engaging show there. Was hoping that they'd adapt well to the much smaller that is the 930 Club. While their light-show would likely have benefited from a larger venue and their sound very definitely does come across better with a setup like at Bass Pod, was still a GREAT show. Really hope to see them come through DC at Echostage or larger-venue (though, very definitely not the Verizon/Capital One/whatever center - they *need* to be seen at a venue where everyone's able to stand and bounce their asses off). And, really hoping that they're back at the 2019 edition of EDC Las Vegas.
The other thing with these guys is they're very engaged with the crowd. I've seen a lot of EDM and other shows over the years at venues of all sizes. It's pretty freaking rare that a headlining act will say their goodnights and not immediately scuttle away to their bus. BTSM? They take their bows then announce "we'll be signing autographs and taking photos with fans (over here) before we leave the building". Outstanding. Dunno if it's the whole being Canadian thing, if they're consciously brand-building or they're just really down to earth ...but it *feels* like they're genuinely down to earth.
If I had more money and free time, I'd probably try to find other locations they're playing at to travel to.
Great Music, Great Visuals, Great Vibe. I'm not the biggest basshead, but BTSM kills. I love that their music can actually be told apart from one song to the next unlike a lot of the bass acts around right now. The belasco is a decent theatre, definitely not the chillest, but its ok.
Just awesome and so much energy. I may have been the oldest person there but it still feels like the Prodigy, chemical Brothers and Crystal Method! Also the fact they took off their masks and engaged with the public was awesome.
