In 1962, after auditioning both bands, Decca signed The Tremeloes over The Beatles. That gives you some kind of idea about the historic, musical calibre of this band. This led onto a hit-filled stretch for the London Beat group throughout the 60s and early 70s, topping the charts multiple times with their versions of songs like ‘Silence Is Golden’ and ‘Do You Love Me’. And the beat isn’t going to stop anytime soon as The Tremeloes continue to put on a show throughout Europe.
With the trademark jangly guitar tone, a staple of the beat sound, the group still put on a solid showing of RnB tinged Rock and Roll. There’s luscious vocal harmonies and smiles all round as they lead the crowd through some solid rock tunes. Expect to see the crowd get swept up in the energy the band exudes, often twisting and shaking to the grooves of the 60s. There’s a wonderful nostalgia to seeing The Tremeloes live, and a sense of authentic rock and roll that could only come from an act with such a rich musical history.
