Kate Davis combines true artistry with an impressively unpretentious manner of interaction with her audience.
The show, in its entirety, was not a polished production. There was no stage crew to help setup/transition during songs - it was just Kate sometimes fiddling with a piece of equipment between songs, which just added to the intimate nature of the show.
The songs were heartfelt creations that combined Kate's unique vocal stylings with inventive instrumentation on an electric guitar and electric bass. Each performance piece will stay with me for a long time.
As strong as the song selection was, it was Kate's interactions with the audience that made the night truly memorable. She made me feel a part of her extended family.
Mississippi Studio was a wonderful venue for Kate's artistry. I hope she chooses to return there many, many times in the future.
