Adrian West Band

Adrian West Band describes their sound as “Paul Simon meets Talking Heads." They play original acoustic rock songs and instrumentals, plus a few covers and a few jazz standards, with Adrian West going back and forth between vocals, acoustic guitar and electric violin. They normally play as a five-piece, but sometimes they team up with dazzling jazz pianist and composer Michael Echaniz, who joins the band on The Back Room’s Steinway grand piano, adding jazzy textures to the music.

Adrian enjoys setting philosophical lyrics to joyful music. His topics may veer a tad dark at times but the underlying music is uplifting, giving the listener a richly layered experience. Whether he's telling a story about a skinny-dipping episode gone awry or grappling with some major challenge facing humanity, his lyrics are infused with equal parts hope, realism and whimsy.

With its pristine acoustics and its down-to-earth vibe, The Back Room is the perfect place for this exciting show. Get there early to grab one of The Back Room's cozy sofas!

Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8pm. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. The venue is ADA accessible.
