I saw the up-and-coming alt-rock group Carolina Liar when they opened for Kelly Clarkson and The Fray. This motley crew of mostly musicians really knows how to get down! Hearing these guys in concert was a really unexpected surprise, as they were the opening act and yet they had the best set all night.
My favorite song of theirs was Show Me What I’m Looking For, an emotional, upbeat track that had the entire crowd singing along by the end of it. It helps that so many people have already heard this track as it’s been featured in shows like 90210, The Hills, and Gossip Girls, but hearing it in person brings it to a whole new amazing level.
The crowd absolutely erupted when the opening notes were played, and the energy carried over for the rest of the night. Kelly Clarkson and The Fray have amazing taste in opening bands as Carolina Liar really set the tone for the whole show and made what would’ve been a great show anyway into an unforgettable one. Hopefully I can catch this group in concert again sometime soon, and hopefully this time as the headliners as I want to hear as much of them as I can get!
