Paul Taylor is one of those smooth jazz saxophonists that just knows how to light up a room with music that he wrote himself. With eight studio albums under his belt, signed to Peak Records, I’m not surprised as to why this has become a possibility for him. It is simply no wonder that this musician has had the pleasure of earning his stripes, collaborating with artists such as LaToya London, Regina Belle and Terry Dexter. When he plays, it isn’t like he is playing for himself, to show off to this audience, he really makes sure that the audience can feel what he is playing on the saxophone, whether he is playing the variation of a motif or just improvising around, he always makes sure that people can feel what is going on. “Prime Time” is such a highlight of the set with patrons up on their feet dancing in front of Taylor and having the best time. “Ladies Choice” is such a highlight of his set with such a cool and smooth groove getting everyone dancing. Great times.
