Rednecks, Beer, Stetsons, flannel shirts, denim jeans; just a few of the many things that made up this crowd in Knoxville, Tennessee, a city where one can soak up that all authentic country feeling. This crowd was of course waiting for Country Music Awards 'New Artist of the Year 2014' winner, Justin Moore to hit the stage.
What makes country music so unique and special is that there is no need for anything fancy, all you need are a couple of guitars, a bass, a drum kit, a few beers and a stage to perform on. It was all about the music and having a good time, an idea that was made clear through Moore’s set.
Although a new artist on the country scene, Moore has three studio albums out and is currently promoting the third album ‘Off the Beaten Path’. An album full of hip moving, country loving hits such as, ‘Points at You’ and ‘Lettin' the Night Roll’ before moving on to his more popular hits like ‘Til My Last Day’ and ‘Small Town USA’ that got the crowd moving, clapping and singing along to create a memorable night for everyone.
As an Englishman it was an absolute joy to be, for one night, part of such a rich American culture delivered by a truly exciting country performer that is, Justin Moore. Yee-Haw!
