About
The Ex have defied categorisation ever since they started playing in 1979. Born out of the punk explosion, when anything and everything was possible, the band have still managed to retain both curiosity and passion for their music. Using guitars, bass, drums and voice as their starting point, The Ex have continued to musically explore undiscovered areas right up to the present day.
What started with raucous punk, rooted in the squatting and punk movements of the late 70s, turned into an impossible-to-label range that made its mark nationally as well as internationally. After all these years, some 28 albums and more than 2000 concerts the band continues to work as they did in when they began, completely independent of record companies, managers or roadies. Because of this 'do it yourself' work ethic The Ex is still a great example for other forward-thinking bands and musicians.
Support comes from Oh Hazar.
Oh Hazar thrives on contrasts. Drawing on German Expressionism, film noir, and artists like The White Stripes and St. Vincent, they blend cinematic art-pop with post-industrial energy, brooding wave, and triphop textures. On this tour, they perform as a duo, delivering a darkly playful and immersive live experience that blurs the line between band and club.
Since their debut in 2023, Oh Hazar has played festivals and venues across the Netherlands, including shows with RVG and The Smile. Their debut EP Clair Obscur was released on indie label AT EASE, home to artists such as Robin Kester and Library Card, and received early support from platforms like SiriusXM and Spotify.
