Well slap my knee and shout yee-ha! Ain't the SteelDrivers just the best dam bluegrass band going in all the land! But they genuinely are which is the beauty of it. Blues is such an under-rated genre in this day and age. I personally adore the blues and watching a blues band live is such a sweet symphony. It's heavenly. You'll honestly feel on cloud nine and you'll be enraptured by the sound of the country blues. The SteelDrivers do this with their banjos, ukulele's and violins! Their harmonies are gorgeous. Such feel good music.
People's common link to blues is that you have to be sad or down to understand the blues, or enjoy the blues. To some extent that can be said. However with bands like The SteelDrivers or even Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, it can be merry, and pleasant to watch/listen to. By the end of their set they'll be getting you to clap your hands and you'll wanna join them on the road!
