NQ Arbuckle, Sarah Greene, and Jose Contreras

NQ Arbuckle served up a treat for fans at the Dakota Tavern on March 31st. The show was the second of two shows which the band recorded for the release of their upcoming live album. NQ is one of those bands you want to see live- the songs take on a more potent life, and fans sing along with passion, impressively displaying an encyclopaedic knowledge of the band's lyrics. You want to sing along even if you don't know all the lyrics.

Frontman Neville Quinlan writes songs of the Canadian soul. While Quinlan was born in Montreal and hails from Toronto's west end, his songs sound like they could have been written in Lethbridge or Cornerbrook. There is something joyfully Canadian in the music, and it is a good thing.
