Los Cenzontles

On Wednesday, August 26th, San Francisco's 4-Star Theater presents the first screening of Los Cenzontles' new documentary Waves of the Same Sea: The Making of Adios Ke Aloha.

Please join us for this special event which will begin with a live performance by Los Cenzontles at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30.

Directed by Chris Brown, the 90-minute film takes viewers inside an extraordinary five-day recording session at our studio. Los Cenzontles is joined by music legends Taj Mahal and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, as well as Hawaiian masters Gary Haleamau and Sonny Lim, to explore the deep musical and cultural connections between Mexico and Hawaiʻi. That exploration resulted in our newly released album Adios Ke Aloha.
