Gerd

Gerd were known as one of the most experimental artists of the 1990's to appear out of Europe. The Dutch DJ & producer made sonic waves that crossed genres including electro, nu jazz and lounge. His tracks would often be very detailed, layered pieces of music that seemed to expand forever whilst never needing to crescendo or grab attention. The DJ is still touring world-wide at a selection of festivals, headline tours and supporting slots.

His ambient music keeps crowds engaged, almost entranced throughout his sets. It's not hugely danceable but it is great electronic music done well and this is enough to keep fans entertained and the applause when each mix is over are evidence enough that they are enjoyable. Older tracks such as 'Seduce Me' and 'Still Believe' receive the biggest reaction of the evening from some fans who will have followed Gerd since the beginning of his career.

The musician has a prestigious supporting slot on the first of November opening for the iconic Simian Mobile Disco at XOYO in London. Assured to be a huge show and a huge night, Gerd will surely entertain fans old and new with his personal brand of nu jazz electro.
