Between The Buried And Me und The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die

Between the Buried and Me opened up the short show with an hour-long set, which was strange for me because this was the first time in a long time I chose to watch from the back mainly because of getting there pretty late. And precisely because of that, it actually ended up way better than the last time I saw them when I was on the rail, because the mix was much better from the back. Also they've stopped playing older (more metalcore-ish) material so their 5 song set was all their most progressive stuff including White Walls and Ants of the Sky. I noticed live they have a decent number of breakdowns even in their newest material despite being so progressive, but they incorporate those breakdowns so well I can't imagine how anyone could complain (or even really notice when listening to them on record). Despite expecting to be bored by how oftentimes shows just don't have enough energy when not experienced on the rail, I didn't have that problem at all since their music still was powerful enough even from a distance especially thanks to Blake Richardson's drumming.

The World is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, aka TWIABP, are one of the most renowned emo bands of the emo revival in recent years. Their interesting approach to lyrics and the spoken word in their music makes them original and appealing to fans from several genres.
Seeing them live was great, and their energy throughout the show was incredibly high. The fusion of acoustic and electronic instruments make a really exciting sound, layered with the heavy drum and guitar parts. The band were all 100% dedicated to every single track they played, and their energy was contagious, everyone in the audience was joining in with the poetic lyrics, and dancing along to the heavier tracks with their arms in the air.
They played through their new EP, Between Bodies that they share with Chris Zizzamia, and everyone was loving it, as it was one of the first time it had been performed live. They were great at interacting with the audience, and had us on their side from the every start. They even asked us If we had any song requests, so they played some of their older material that everyone was singing and dancing along to. It was a great show.
