Singer Songwriter, Red Hunter must have fought long and hard to secure the band name “Peter and the Wolf” which is the name the band that he leads in a folk and alternative country manner. Despite only been going since 2006, he and his band still managed eight full-length albums in the space of five years.
Tonight is a celebration of all of the material that they have released – of course not everything; we would be here for a very long time if that were the case. Hunter picks only the best songs from their career thus far. There is a lot of light shed on their most recent release, “Easy Mountain” which was released in 2011, in the form of songs such as “Rosarito” and “Lightfalls”. “Silver Sand” is another song that is filled with hooks that encouraging the audience to hum along and stamp their feet. It’s humbling for Hunter to finish on some of their earlier material in the form of a track called “Midnight Train”, the opening song from the “Lightness” album.
