I was extremely excited when we got our tickets to see Information Society as I am a huge fan of that 80's synthpop sound that these guys helped define during the 80's with such hits as "What's On Your Mind?"
The venue was smaller, which gave us a great view of the stage setup. The lighting was dark, so that you could see that large movie screen behind that band. It was easy to get to, and once there we found a place on the floor in the center so that we could see everything.
The band came out in some kind of strange mix of lab coats and bio-hazard suits. They looked awesome and fit the parts beautifully. They immediately got the crowd engaged by playing "What's On Your Mind?", and extended mix of the song that added some more industrial elements that I really appreciated.
They proceeded to play a few new songs before coming to another one of their hits, "Think" which really got the crowd cheering and dancing. The movie screen in the background really mesmerized me, in conjunction with the music it practically gave me an out of body experience.
One of the better shows I have ever seen, and one I won't soon forget!
