Lots of fun. He's smart. He's clever. He's entertaining as hell. Good sound in a small venue can be tricky, but all the musicians (two others) knew what they were doing.
The Stone Foxes are one of those bands that have a loyal and die-hard following who, in a live surrounding, are pleased no matter what the set list or how charismatic the band are live.
From what I saw as somewhat of an outsider to the band it's clear that the San Francisco Rock and Rollers have the energy and passion that a good live band need.
Formed in 2005, The Stone Foxes have built up quite the portfolio of great, hard-hitting, rock songs, over the course of their three full length albums, and it’s those that get the greatest audience response when you watch them live.
However it’s their longer, more ballad-like, songs that are the ones that seem to put a dampener on the evening. On the album they are a strong group of songs but after the faster-paced songs that precede them it’s a shame that the pace has to drop.
Despite this view, however, The Stone Foxes are clearly doing something right as throughout the duration of their set the crowd seems utterly enthralled by the entire experience.
From the moment they appear onstage to the moment they leave the audience wanting more and this seems to be why the crowd keeps coming back every time The Stone Foxes tour.
Their stage presence may need some work in order to win over first time attendees of their shows but for the hardcore fans it seems Stone Foxes can do no wrong, which is definitely a strong benefit for them.
