From the release of their debut album back in the mid 90s, I’ve been following Human Nature, the Australian pop group, ever since. Their music is incredibly catchy and cries out to be danced to, which is why I was so desperate to see them live, as I’d heard that they put on a great show. I was a little apprehensive that they might have lost some of their energy and spark since their early days, but the performance was spot on and I wasn’t disappointed. The great thing about the band is that as well as great harmonies and strong vocals, they are great performers, engaging with the audience, and doing some incredible pieces of choreography.
They opened the show with the title track from their debut album, Telling Everybody, and Michael Tierney was shouting out to everyone in the crowd to sing along, which is exactly what we did! We were dancing and harmonising with every lyric, and the atmosphere was electric. When they played some of their newer material such as Jukebox, they took the time out to teach us sections of the chorus to sing back, but surprisingly most people knew it already. They are super talented, and still phenomenal performers.
