Killing (DK)

The band started with drummer Luci Villain and guitarist Louise Gorman. They had played together in a South African band between 2012 and 2016.

Luci and Louise wrote three songs before looking for others to join. They posted audition ads that brought in Julian Cadena Osorio on bass and Trevor Scheopner on lead guitar. Bryan Villain joined last on vocals, having already fronted ING and Insurrection in South Africa.

Before performing live, the band put together three singles: First World Problems, Magalomaniac and Media Frenzy. All three were released on Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music.

Hexodeth's lyrical content mostly involves social commentary. They do not dodge the political stuff.

The band is influenced by the likes of Slayer, Exodus, Kreator, Testament and Megadeth, and at times a touch of At The Gates.

Hexodeth played their first show, Thunder Over Europe, at Jugend- und Kulturzentrum Spirale in Berlin in May 2026, on a bill with Mourning High, Toxikull and Campa. The set included "If Hell Freezes Over, Skate On It", "Burn the Tambourine", "Media Frenzy", "Magalomaniac", "Democracy Is Dead", "Subterfugilist" and "First World Problems".

Berlin has a deep metal history and a scene that is turning out new bands faster than it has in years. Hexodeth belongs to that wave, writing fast, unfussy thrash and building a live set meant to leave a crowd worn out.
