have seen these guys multiple times now and am adding three more dates on the upcoming tour.
Firstly, let's address the elephant in the room: YES, they sing over the recorded track. They're old. Breath control is very different in the studio vs jumping around on stage. Deal with it. You're going to have such a good time, it won't matter.
Secondly: you aren't really there for the music anyway, you're there for the party. And WOW, can these boys throw a party! Audience sing-alongs, people dancing on stage with them, people on stage singing with them, beer guzzling contests, between-song banter, and Pete's likely to be shirtless by the end of the show.
It's a wild night unlike anything you've ever seen before.
I mentioned I've seen them multiple times... they've never played anywhere near where I live. Every time I've seen them, I've had to book an international flight and a hotel. The longest distance was 27 hours of round-trip travel and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
If you can possibly get to a show, DO IT NOW. They aren't going to tour forever, they're in their late 70s! These shows are already becoming legend and these are the ones you'll tell your kids and grandkids about when you want to be the "cool parent" or grandparent.
