Nottingham's Rock City is a 2,000 capacity venue on Talbot Street. The venue is all standing with a large wooden dance floor and a balcony area. The club was opened in 1980 and since then has colloquially become part of the 'toilet circuit'; a chain of clubs across Britain, mostly played by alternative and metal bands. Rock City is divided into three rooms and has five bars. Several live CDs and DVDs have been taped at the venue.
