Middle province’s Neighbour Andy has spent the last few years building a reputation not only as a band, but as a genuine hot ticket. Comprised of five friends—Drake Lesperance on vocals, Mark Davidson on guitar, MacKenzie Jackson on bass, Jordan Alexiuk on drums, and Joel d'Eschambault on keys — the group fuses the rhythmic drive of alt-rock with the narrative heart of Americana, folk, and an influence of funk. It is a sound that skips the predictable and lands somewhere that feels necessary.

The group first gained local traction in 2022 with the single "71," an infectious track born from guitarist Mark's childhood home that captures the feeling of growing up with your best friends. Their debut self-titled EP came that same year, followed by the band’s debut album release "Wild One" in 2023, when they sold out their 500-capacity album release show in just eight minutes at Winnipeg’s Park Theatre. Since then, they have toured across Canada, featured at festivals like Departure, BreakOut West, NXNE, Festival du Voyageur, and more.

Now ramping up for their biggest headline show to date on October 24 at their hometown’s historic Burton Cummings Theatre, Neighbour Andy is poised to become a familiar name in the alt-rock corner of music. Their momentum is fueled by the success of their psychedelic rock romp "Courtney," which debuted at #1 New Airplay, #4 Top Gainer, and broke the Breaking Alt Charts Top 10, alongside securing #2 Top CANCON Download, #4 Top Indie, and #9 Overall Download in their first-ever week at radio.

Their sophomore album, "Right By You, By Everyone," is a sardonic, introspective soundtrack to the quarter-life crisis that mirrors the deeply familiar, messy, non-linear climb out of our twenties. The record acts as a playful commentary on a relatable journey through self-sabotage, stagnant ambition, imposter syndrome, financial anxiety, and the search for genuine connection amidst a total lack of life experience to know better.
