All Show Times 8:00 pm unless otherwise noted. The Vanilla Bean Café is located in a restored, early 19th century barn in scenic Pomfret, Connecticut. When we opened our philosophy was simple: Create a place where we would feel comfortable and serve food that we would enjoy eating. Homemade soups, sandwiches, burgers and light dinners comprise our basic menu, but daily specials made with creativity, imagination and local seasonal ingredients, spice up the menu. Voted "Best Sandwiches", “Best Family Dining”, “Best Vegetarian”, “Best Desserts”, and “Best Outdoor Dining” in CT Magazine. Yankee Magazine Editors Pick – Connecticut’s Best Country Café. The Café has been hosting live entertainment since our opening and has shows every Saturday night ranging from Folk, Blues & Bluegrass to Jazz. The Café is on the National Folk Music Circuit and attracts talent from all over the United States, drawing mainly New England performers. The majority of the shows are on Saturday night and start at 8:00 pm. The Open Mic night is the first Friday of each month.
